This program will provide me with the knowledge and resources to implement and evaluate open source health IT in resource poor settings in Latin America. During this fellowship I hope to demonstrate that a laboratory system implemented in Peru can reduce the time until Tuberculosis patients stop transmitting this disease and show that a global health IT community of practice provides knowledge to local implementers that improves their organizations.
