The BIRT fellowship program gives me the opportunity to identify research opportunities within the medical domain where I can apply my technical expertise. The medical domain has produced petabytes of data that has not been analyzed. My goal is to improve health care through the analysis of medical data.
My current research focuses on cancer forums and the topics, sentiments, and social network of these online discussion groups.
